The Control of State Aids for Rescue and restructuring Companies in Difficulty
Farantouris. N.E., The Control of State Aids for Rescue and restructuring Companies in Difficulty, International and European Economic Law Centre, Ant. N. Sakkoulas Publ., Athens 2006, pages: 325
This monograph analyses one of the most controversial issues of EC competition law and policy on state aids: the control of state aids for rescuing and restructuring companies in difficulty. The problematic that surrounds the control of such aids is altogether timely in the European internal market, where focal points include sensitive areas, such as air transport, shipbuilding, textile mills, etc. The study analyses the Commission’s approach and investigates the interaction of EC competition policy on state aids with other core objectives of EU law.
